Our Approach

At Janie Jennings Pilates, we specialize in rehab through Pilates. We also believe Pilates is for everybody — and every body is different. Our approach is rooted in mindful movement, body awareness, and functional strength. We focus on:

  • Personalized attention – Whether in private sessions or small group classes, we tailor instruction to meet your individual needs and goals.

  • Safe, progressive training – We build strength, flexibility, and control in a sustainable way. Quality of movement always comes first.

  • Inclusive community – We foster a welcoming environment for all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. No judgment. No pressure.

Step 2: What to Expect

What to Wear

  • Comfortable, form-fitting clothes that allow for movement

  • We work barefoot in all our sessions to support better grip, alignment, and body awareness – no socks needed!

  • Avoid zippers or jewelry that can catch on equipment

Arrival

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first session

  • You'll fill out a short intake form and meet your instructor

During Your Session

  • Expect a supportive, hands-on approach

  • We’ll cue you through breath, alignment, and control

  • You’ll work at your own pace with guidance and encouragement

Step 3: Building a Practice

Pilates is most effective with consistency. Many clients feel the benefits after just a few sessions — more energy, better posture, and reduced tension.

We recommend:

  • 2–3 sessions per week for optimal results

  • A combination of privates + group classes for personal attention and variety

  • Regular check-ins to revisit goals and progress

Studio Policies

  • 24-hour cancellation required to avoid charges

  • Please silence phones during sessions
